Welcome to the last official Alpha M. video of 2024. Frankly, I’m glad this year is over because it was hard for me personally and professionally. I have some accomplishments that I’m proud of, but I also have some things I need to work on and let go of. These things are in the rearview mirror, and I can’t go back and change them. But what I can do is look to the future.
This new year is a way of changing things: being better, achieving more, and making the New Year the best. I want to review a few things you need to hear and accept in 2025. I also want to tell you that you’re amazing and can accomplish anything. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my friend all these years. We don’t know what tomorrow brings, but I know that 2025 is here, and hopefully, we can make it the best year yet.
Accept these truths for tremendous success into the new year
- Your appearance matters. In a world dominated by social media, our appearance and how people perceive us are imperative now more than ever. You cannot afford not to pay attention to your style, grooming, and fitness.
- Nobody is coming to save you. Self-reliance is critical in this fast-paced, hyper-competitive world. You can’t sit around and wait for somebody else to give you handouts or save you. If so, you’ll be waiting forever. You have to take responsibility for your actions, finances, and future.
- Time is your most valuable asset. You need to protect it and invest it wisely. Let go of toxic or unhealthy relationships because once time is lost, you can’t get it back. Spend less time on social media as well. You’re not missing anything. Your social circle shapes your success, and you need to surround yourself with uplifting and supportive people who will help facilitate a happier and healthier life for you.
- Nobody cares about your excuses. If you continue to make excuses, understand they’re your way of making yourself feel better. The world rewards action, and if you’re stuck in a perpetual cycle of excuses, you need to figure out why it didn’t work and stop talking about it. Fix the things that need to be fixed and move forward.
- Rejection is inevitable. Sure, it sucks, but it’s also part of life, and the sooner that you understand it, the sooner you’ll be able to accept it and move on. Rejection will happen in careers, relationships, and life in general. Don’t dwell on it, but learn from it.
- Money doesn’t buy happiness. It can buy you freedom, but it’s only a tool. If you have financial freedom, you can explore your passions. Money gives you options, but it won’t buy you happiness.
- Comparison is the thief of joy and happiness. If you spend time comparing yourself to others, you’ll be robbed of feeling good about yourself. You’ll also be robbed of your joy for being who you are and what you’ve achieved. You may not be where you want to be, and that’s okay, but you can take the new year to refocus, recalibrate, and take action.
- Comfort zones kill growth. When you’re comfortable, you’re not striving. You’re not trying. You need to be uncomfortable and change things up because when things are hard, that’s where true growth comes in. You must be unsatisfied and looking to be better personally, professionally, and overall to do better than you currently do.
- Mental health requires maintenance. Don’t ignore stress, anxiety, or depression. It will just get worse. Mental check-ins can suddenly make you realize you’re going to a really bad place. You must forgive people, perhaps get another job, exercise, and seek therapy. Routinely check in on your mental health to avoid vicious cycles of stress and anxiety. You want to feel good about yourself and see life for what it is.
- You’ll never please everybody. Stop trying. The one person you need to worry about is yourself. Are you happy? Are you pleasing yourself? Are you doing and living a life that inspires you? 2025 can be the year that you finally get out of your way and make your dreams come true—set goals.
- Physical fitness and health are non-negotiable. It doesn’t matter if you have a busy schedule or family obligations; fitness is non-negotiable. You need to figure it out because without your health nothing else matters. Money can’t buy health.
- The world does not revolve around you. Realize that people aren’t thinking about you the way that you think that they are. This perception prevents us from trying or doing what we want to do when they’re worried about their lives and don’t care about what they’re doing. Focus on yourself and stop worrying about what other people think.
- Failure is a stepping stone for success. Without failure, you’re never going to be successful. Many people think of failure as bad, but every time you fail, you learn something and move closer to where you need to be. Failure can make you smarter, faster, and more money, and in the long term, it is part of the process that dictates future success.
- You’re going to die someday. Nobody’s figured out a loophole, and you’re not invincible. Realizing this is very powerful. You never know when your time will be up, so you must live to the best of your ability and do what makes you happy. Do what fulfills you because you never know when it will end. Ensure that you tell the people you love that you love them today. Don’t wait until tomorrow because you never know what will happen. Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow, so do not have regrets.
