Pete & Pedro Putty
Alpha is presenting this hair style tutorial since a ton of viewers want to style their hair just like Alpha’s. Aaron Marino of alpha m. says that all you need a great hair product (like Pete & Pedro Putty that’s muy bueno! It’s great for short or long hair, has amazing hold, and is not too shiny), a brush, and a hair dryer (Yes, a blow dryer! It gives body, lift, and texture).
Alpha’s cut is longer on top with tapering on sides and back. Towel dry hair. Comb hair into place and part. You a tiny bit of Putty and emulsify it. Apply the direction that hair is styled prior to drying. Work the product down into the roots. If it falls down fast, the product is not deep enough to the roots.
Alpha uses a Conair hair dryer set on cool so the product is not melted and your hair is not subjected to the heat. Blow dry against the grain to make it go upward. Come in and start to ‘fix’ it – twist it to get the separations and pieces (rather than a ‘puffy helmet’). Come in with a TINY bit of product and piece it out. The style is locked into place.
Boom Bueno Hair! It’s all in the piecing and separation. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s really easy, and it doesn’t have to do with the ‘cut’ of the hair. Sure, it needs to be broken up and given definition with the cut but experiment with product for styling.
