Your body will give you warning signs when something is wrong. So today, I want to discuss some things you must pay attention to. These signs will tell you that something is wrong with your body and that you’re not healthy.
Think of these as check engine lights. Don’t ignore them because you don’t want them to become a more significant issue. Identify them early so you can fix them. Also, I recommend getting blood work done annually, regardless of age.
- Skin changes. If you have any irregularity, go to a dermatologist.
- Irregular poop. This will often tell you what’s going on. If you have constipation, it isn’t normal. You need to figure out if it’s because of what you’re eating, if you’re dehydrated, or if you have an issue. Also, address whether you’re bloated or have liquidy or bloody stools.
- Discolored eyes. If the whites of your eyes are not normal, you could have liver issues, especially yellow colored. You could have allergies or high blood pressure if they’re red or bloodshot.
- Not enough sleep. You could have a vitamin or mineral deficiency.
- Abnormal nails. This is not normal if your nails are thick, discolored, or have white specks. This goes for toenails as well. It could be a vitamin deficiency, fungus, or something more.
- Bad breath is nasty and a sign that something is wrong, ranging from stomach cancer to acid reflux to another issue.
- Heartburn or indigestion. Left untreated, it could become more serious and affect your breath and gums.
- Spitting blood. Brushing your teeth and then spitting blood regularly could be a sign that something is going on more serious.
- White tongue. This is not normal and could indicate thrush or a yeast infection.
- Swollen balls. If this happens suddenly, it is not normal. Give yourself a routine exam, such as when you shower. If you experience pain or a bump, get it checked quickly.
- Acne and blackheads. You must take action if your skin is super oily or dry, wrinkled, crusty, or cracked.
- Poor diet. Don’t eat a crappy diet because it will reflect on your body and skin.
- Man boobs. This is a medical condition and is preventable. Eat better and go to the gym. Lose weight.
- Difficulty putting on muscle mass. If this is happening, go get it checked. Your testosterone may be low.
- Big Al is crooked or bent. This could be a sign of something more serious. Get that checked.
- Smaller volume of semen. This could also mean your testosterone levels are dropping.
- Tiny balls. This could also be a sign of a testosterone issue, such as levels being too high from taking TRT or other performance-enhancing drugs.
- Pale lips, cracked lips, cold hands and feet. These are not normal.
- Muscle cramps. These could be charley horses or cramps. They could also be muscle spasms or other signs that something is off. These cramps could be a mineral deficiency, or sodium is too low. This could also be a potassium issue. Figure out why.
- Swollen legs or ankles. These are not normal.
- Constant itchiness. This is not normal, and it could be dry skin due to a season or hot showers drying you out. But you could also have something more serious, like kidney or liver issues.
- Dandruff. A dry scalp can cause dandruff. If you have an issue, it could be a fungus or bacteria.
- Hair loss or a reduction in density is a sign of something wrong. It could be hormonal, such as too high testosterone levels or a mineral or vitamin deficiency.
- Excessive sweating isn’t necessarily typical. Go to a doctor to find out.
- Excessive urination. If you’re peeing a lot more than usual, this could be a sign that something’s going on with your prostate. You need to find out where your PSA level is and track it over time. It is a simple blood test.
